Will RadioPro Talk receive radio traffic when my screen is locked or another app is open?

Last updated:

Background reception depends on the phone's operating system, RadioPro Talk version, permissions, and power-management settings. Test the behavior on the actual device rather than assuming it will match another phone.

Android: allow the permissions requested for background operation and notifications. Where provided by your Talk version, enable the setting to maintain the connection when leaving the app. Phone battery-saving restrictions can interfere with background connectivity.

iPhone/iPad: iOS manages background applications and audio differently. Talk's ability to remain active can be affected by operating-system behavior, other audio sessions, and the installed app version. Do not assume uninterrupted background reception.

Test with the screen locked, another app open, and the intended Bluetooth accessory connected. Also test incoming phone calls and transitions between Wi-Fi and cellular data. Force-closing the app is different from simply moving it into the background.

If reception stops, provide CTI Technical Support with the phone model, operating-system version, Talk version, and the exact sequence that reproduces the problem.
