ICU Auto Find uses local network broadcasts, so it normally discovers Gateways on the same local broadcast network. It does not automatically discover a Gateway across a router, separate VLAN, or remote VPN connection.
- Confirm Gateway power, Ethernet link, and switch connectivity.
- Place the configuration PC on the same local network/VLAN as the Gateway.
- Check whether Wi-Fi, Ethernet, VPN, or virtual adapters are causing traffic to use a different network.
- Allow the required ICU discovery/configuration traffic through the PC and network firewall.
- Use an ICU version compatible with the Gateway generation.
If you know the Gateway's address and it is reachable from the PC, enter it manually in ICU instead of relying on Auto Find. Discovery and direct connectivity are separate tests: a missing discovery result does not prove the Gateway is offline.
If its address is unknown, ask IT to check the local DHCP lease or network inventory before changing addressing on a production system.
