Match RadioPro software to the Gateway family and check the release requirements before updating. Patch revisions do not always need to be identical, but an arbitrary mix of versions is not supported.

January 2027 Talk change: CTI's notice states that new Talk releases after January 1, 2027 will no longer support Gateways earlier than 8.1.13. Gateways 8.1.0–8.1.12 need a software upgrade; units earlier than 8.1.0 need a hardware upgrade. Existing systems are not scheduled to stop simply because that date arrives.
Give your dealer the exact Gateway, ICU, and client versions and review the upgrade sequence before making changes. New encryption or connectivity functions can require newer versions than basic voice access.
