On a supported and correctly programmed radio system, a received emergency event produces audible and visible indications in RadioPro Dispatch so the operator can identify and respond to the radio user.
The Dispatch User Guide describes an Emergency Notification Tool in the main toolbar, a red emergency icon beside the initiating subscriber, and an audio alarm. Availability depends on the radio platform, control station interface, programming, and software versions.
- Identify the event: review the indicated channel and subscriber and follow your organization's response procedure.
- Respond: on supported configurations, the top portion of the notification tool can place a private call to the initiating radio and silence that emergency's audio alarm.
- Clear the indication: the notification tool's options can remove the console's visual and audio indications.
Removing a console indication and clearing the control station's emergency state are separate actions. The configured radio behavior determines whether removal also clears that state or whether an administrator must reset the control station. A reset interrupts radio operation and should follow the site's procedure.
Have your dealer test initiation, identification, response, and clearing on the actual system. A voice-only interface must not be assumed to carry subscriber emergency signaling. This feature does not automatically contact emergency services.
