RadioPro supports selected Motorola MOTOTRBO and Kenwood NEXEDGE radio systems through compatible control station radios. Your dealer should verify the exact radio model, system type, firmware, and required features before selecting equipment.
Compatibility involves more than the radio brand. The control station needs the correct RadioPro interface, cable, and programming. Voice, channel selection, text messaging, GPS, and other functions vary by radio platform and system type.
For example, a system that supports voice access does not necessarily support GPS or text messaging through the same interface. Older control station models can also have different Gateway-generation requirements.
When requesting a compatibility check, provide your dealer with the control station model, portable/mobile radio models, radio firmware, system type, existing Gateway version if applicable, and a list of the functions you need.
