Download the correct Gateway firmware package and follow CTI's RadioPro System Upgrade Guide for your Gateway generation. Firmware updates and operating-system security updates are separate tasks.
- Read the running Gateway version from ICU or the client, rather than relying only on the case label.
- Confirm the upgrade package and client compatibility. Export the current Gateway settings and retain the applicable license files.
- Arrange a maintenance window because the Gateway will disconnect clients while updating and restarting.
- Use the supported upgrade method: the Gateway upgrade command in Dispatch, General → Upgrade Firmware in ICU, or the documented USB method on supported Gateways.
- Reconnect, confirm the new version, and test voice and any GPS, text, recorder, or remote-access features you use.
A remote update requires network reachability and the appropriate credentials. ICU Auto Find discovery is local, but a known, reachable Gateway address can be entered manually.
Do not assume a package can change the Gateway's hardware/operating-system generation. Major-generation changes and downgrades should be reviewed with your dealer or CTI before proceeding.
