Yes. RadioPro Link is designed to retain the provisioned endpoint when the Gateway moves to another usable internet connection. Remote clients continue using that endpoint rather than the new provider's public IP address.
With DHCP enabled, the Gateway can obtain local network settings from the new network. If it uses a static LAN configuration, an administrator must make that configuration suitable for the destination network through ICU. DNS, routing and any network access controls must still permit the provisioned connection.
- Record the Gateway's endpoint, local addressing method and working configuration.
- Arrange the new internet/LAN connection and any required network authorization.
- Reconnect the Gateway and allow the service connection to recover.
- Test client login, radio receive/transmit and any location or messaging functions in use.
A temporary construction site could move its configured kit between projects. The antenna, radio channels, power and field-radio coverage must be checked at the new location; keeping the endpoint does not keep the old site's RF coverage.
Changing to a backup WAN can interrupt live audio while connectivity recovers. Link's reconnection behavior is separate from a router's ability to detect a failed circuit and select a backup circuit. It does not, by itself, install or configure automatic multi-WAN failover.
