A Link-routed client loses its path to the Gateway while the required internet connection is unavailable. RadioPro Link is designed to recover its connection after the network returns, including after outages, Gateway reboots and network moves.
CTI's September 2026 Starlink Mini tests recorded brief interruptions during the in-town moving test, with reconnection each time. That is evidence from that test configuration, not a guaranteed recovery time or a promise that every network interruption will be invisible to an operator.
- Live traffic: do not assume a disconnected remote client hears transmissions that occur during the outage or receives them automatically afterward.
- Local radio traffic: the field radios' own RF operation is separate from the remote IP path. It depends on the radio system and its powered infrastructure.
- Local PC access: a separately configured direct-LAN connection may remain usable if its Gateway/radio/network path is working. A connection using the Link endpoint still depends on its service path.
If the connection does not recover, check site power, Gateway boot status, internet service, local addressing/DNS and the provisioned endpoint. Compare other clients and retain the failure timestamps for CTI support.
For continuity planning, include the radio, Gateway, router and backhaul in the power and connectivity plan. A backup circuit and automatic router failover require their own design and testing.
