A temporary construction site needs a compatible control station radio, a RadioPro IP Gateway, the correct interface cable, suitable antenna and power arrangements, and a network path to the dispatch users. The installation can be planned so the equipment moves to the next project.
- Radio access: program the control station for the site's radio system and install an antenna arrangement that reaches the working area.
- Gateway and power: use the Gateway's specified supply and protect the equipment from the site's dust, moisture, and physical damage. Include the radio and network equipment when planning backup power.
- Dispatch position: provide a Windows PC with RadioPro Dispatch or Solo, a microphone/headset, and the applicable licenses. Talk can provide compatible mobile access.
- Connectivity: local clients can use the site LAN. A dispatcher at another office needs a suitable connection to the site, such as approved cellular or satellite backhaul with a supported remote-access arrangement.
If the site's internet service uses carrier-grade NAT, ask your dealer about RadioPro Link. An internet connection does not replace the radio coverage needed between the control station and field radios.
MOTOTRBO control station setup: leave the radio's front microphone disconnected during RadioPro operation. Remove any front programming cable after programming. The Gateway uses the rear accessory connection; the operator speaks through the RadioPro client's microphone or headset.
For relocation, retain the equipment list, Gateway backup, radio programming, licenses, and network settings. Review frequencies, coverage, addressing, and remote connectivity for the new site before placing it in service.
