Can radio dispatch software report how long vehicles stop at a location?

Last updated:

Yes. RadioPro Dispatch provides supported stopped-vehicle reporting using received GPS information, with the required radio configuration and licenses. The result describes observed radio-location activity rather than a continuously measured record of every vehicle movement.

In the Dispatch User Guide, selecting a subscriber on the GPS map and opening Quick Reports provides Position Report and Stopped Report options. Available controls and report filters depend on the installed version and configuration.

Reports can help a dispatcher review stops at a yard, customer site, or other location. Historical results require that the relevant GPS events were received and logged. Configure location reporting and history storage before expecting reports for past trips.

Update frequency affects time precision. If a radio reports only periodically, a vehicle can arrive or depart between reports. Coverage gaps and missing GPS fixes create additional uncertainty. Review the actual timestamps before interpreting a stop duration.

These reports do not automatically establish delivery completion, driver work status, or the reason for a stop. A route-planning, delivery-management, or workforce system may be needed for those business records.
