Which Kenwood NEXEDGE radios and system types work with RadioPro?

Last updated:

RadioPro supports selected Kenwood NEXEDGE mobile radios used as control stations, including the model families below. The radio's supported system mode, firmware, programming and Gateway interface determine which functions are available.

The voice cable and data-revert cable use different Gateway connections and are not interchangeable. CTI provides separate programming guidance for the NX-7xx/8xx and NX-37xx/38xx families, and for the NX-57xx/58xx family. Some models require radio hardware configuration in addition to software programming; installation should follow the matching guide.

Does NXDN support mean every feature works?

No. CTI's feature tables distinguish plain analog, analog with FleetSync, conventional digital NXDN and NXDN/LTR trunking modes. Voice, text, GPS, status and selective-calling availability must be checked against that specific mode. A radio supporting several air interfaces is not evidence that RadioPro supports every mode on that radio.

Ask your dealer to confirm the radio model, active system mode, firmware, required voice/data features and the Gateway's Kenwood interface. Use the cable and programming guide for that exact family rather than a generic serial cable or another model's codeplug.
