Yes. RadioPro Dispatch includes prerecorded, or pre-canned, audio-message capability for sending a prepared announcement over a configured radio path. A repeatable yard instruction or shift-change message is one example.
Plan and test the announcement
- Prepare a short, clearly spoken recording and retain its source file.
- In the installed Dispatch version, configure the audio-message action and its intended radio recipients/Gateways. Associate the supported action with an operator control where appropriate.
- Verify that the file loads and plays correctly in that version. A file's .wav extension alone does not establish a compatible encoding or sample rate; obtain a known-working format from CTI if loading fails.
- Test the complete transmission on a controlled channel. Confirm levels, the start and end of the message, the selected destination and behavior when the channel is busy.
The Gateway, control station and radio system must be available to carry the transmission. A stored recording does not create another voice channel or bypass the system's channel-access rules. Operators should be able to identify the intended message before starting it.
For a live announcement, use the appropriate PTT/Call Selected or All Call control. If you need a scheduled broadcast, repeated tones, a particular paging format or an automated alarm sequence, have CTI confirm that exact workflow in the installed version; prerecorded playback alone does not establish those additional functions.
