Yes. Solo can run alongside other Windows applications, and its client settings provide several ways to keep radio access convenient. For example, a shipping clerk can work in another business application while Solo remains available for radio calls.
In Settings → Client → General, review the options provided by the installed version:
- Always on top: keep the Solo window above other application windows.
- Minimize to system tray: keep the client running in the tray when the configured close/minimize behavior is used.
- Make visible when a call is received: bring Solo forward when incoming radio activity meets the application's behavior.
- Make visible when a hotkey is activated: expose the window through a configured, supported shortcut.
Test the workflow with the actual PTT accessory, audio devices and other applications used at that desk. Another program using the microphone or changing the playback device can affect the audio setup.
Minimizing is different from exiting Solo, logging off Windows or putting the PC to sleep. Continued operation requires Solo to remain running, connected and able to use its audio devices. Do not assume a minimized window confirms that the client is still connected.
