Yes. RadioPro can provide PC-based dispatch access to a compatible analog two-way radio system through a control station radio and a RadioPro IP Gateway. The correct interface depends on the radio model; an analog channel on a supported Motorola or Kenwood mobile and a generic COR/PTT installation are different arrangements.
What the installation needs
- A compatible mobile radio installed as a control station, programmed for the field radios' channel and signaling.
- A Gateway built for that radio interface, the correct cable, an appropriate antenna and the specified power supplies.
- A Windows PC running Dispatch or Solo, with a microphone/headset and the required licenses. Compatible Talk clients can provide phone access over Wi-Fi or cellular data.
- A network path between the clients and the Gateway. The control station still needs RF coverage to the field radios.
For a generic radio interface, the dealer must verify transmit/receive audio, push-to-talk (PTT), and carrier/activity detection (COR or a supported VOX arrangement). RadioPro does not make every analog radio compatible simply by connecting an audio cable.
Which features change?
An analog voice connection does not add digital radio GPS, text messaging, or private calling to an ordinary analog fleet. Caller identification and other signaling depend on the actual radio system and interface. Existing field radios may remain in service when their channels and signaling are compatible.
Give your dealer the control-station model, field-radio models, frequencies, signaling and desired functions so the complete path can be checked before equipment is selected.
