What affects the cost of a radio dispatch system?

Last updated:

The main cost drivers are simultaneous radio paths, control station equipment, Gateways, operator positions, licensed connections, optional features, accessories, and installation. Your authorized dealer can price the configuration that matches your requirements.

The quantity planner below is an example, not a quote. Optional services and equipment affect the total.

Example: two independent voice channels and two concurrent Dispatch positions normally call for two control station radios, two Gateways, and two Dispatch licenses with the appropriate connection counts. Five simultaneous Solo/Talk users on a particular Gateway require an adequate five-connection pool on that Gateway; those seats are not automatically shared with another Gateway.

Prepare a list of current radio models, system type, required simultaneous channels, operator counts, remote users, and features before requesting a quote. The planner below illustrates equipment quantities and does not provide prices or replace a system design.

2voice control station radios

2IP Gateways

2Dispatch licenses, with suitable connection counts

5Solo/Talk connections on each Gateway where this peak applies

Planning example: assumes one control station/Gateway per independent voice path. Connection pools belong to individual Gateways. Radio models, optional features, capacity, accessories, data-revert equipment, installation, and services need a dealer review.
